Founded in May 2004 by David Mortreux, Mortreux & Partner began by advising automotive suppliers on their arrival in Slovakia.

Working closely with those clients, the firm widened its remit: accounting, then tax, payroll and full administrative management. From the shop floor to the head office, from the owner-managed SME to the listed group, the same principle — understand the client's business before touching their figures.

The firm operates from Bratislava and Košice, and works in English, Slovak and French.

Honorary consulate

David Mortreux serves, in a personal and unpaid capacity, as Honorary Consul of France in Košice — a role separate from the firm's business, and a measure of how deeply rooted it is in the international business community of eastern Slovakia.
